Known history of the Prusík lineage goes deep into the past – oldest written record is from 1515 about Vojtěch Prusík who lived on a homestead in Sedlec u Kralovic. Every living Prusík is most probably a descendant of this man.
My grand grandfather Jaromír Prusík and his wife Jiřina have in 1968 finished writing of the Chronicle of the Prusík lineage, which tracks the history of most of the family tree.
In attempt to to continue with the family tradition, we:
- Translated a small brochure about the lineage, written by Josef Prusík (Jaromír’s father) to English (more about that here).
- Digitized the chronicle itself.
In the future, my plan is to transform the information from the chronicle into a family tree via myheritage.com and involve as many people as possible in the process.
